Caohejing Pujiang Hi-Tech Park was established in 2004 as an expansion of one of China's most successful industrial parks, Caohejing Hi-Tech Park in Shanghai. Caohejing Pujiang Hi-Tech Park is composed of three parts, Caohejing Export Processing Zone (EPZ), a high-tech industrial development zone and a business park. Altogether, the park covers more than 10.7 square kilometres.
The park focuses on high-tech industry development such as electronics, computer & software, aeronautics & astronautics, new energy, new materials and modern media. As a national-level economic and technological development zone, Caohejing Pujiang has also been listed by the Shanghai Municipal Government as one of the five key industrial parks in Shanghai.
